This year in 2014, we are going to celebrate the 65th Republic day of India. After a British rule of about 200 years, India gained independence on 15 August 1947 and on 26 January 1950, India got its constitution under the leadership of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar.

This honorable day is celebrated as the national festival among all the Indian’s and is celebrated with great joy and patriotism.

The Patriotic day, 26th Jan tells the story of courage and patriotism of Indian leaders and patriots who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of India in the fight against Britishers. Without their efforts, we would still had been living under the colonial rule of mighty Britishers.

The grand event is going to be start with India’s prime minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh laying a wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate to remember soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their country while fighting wars at the borders.

Shinzō Abe , Prime Minister, Japan is going to be the chief guest for the 65th Republic day of India, 2014.

President of India, Hon. Pranab Mukharjee unfurls the Indian National flag with the National Anthem of India, followed by the 21-Guns salute to honor the Indian leaders and fighters.

All the important awards are honored on this day like Ashok Chakra and Kirti Chakra to the people from the armed forces of India.

Lots of cultural activities organised on this day, India’s president takes the military salute during the parade. Lots of awards and medals of bravery are given to the people from the armed forces and also to civilians.

This year, first time in the Indian history, a sports person is going to be honoured with the biggest citizenship award of India and that is Bharat Ratna and God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar is going to be honoured with such a great award.

The march post also begins of all the Indian forces like Navy, air forces, army etc.

The bravery awards and medals are given to student an people on the same day which is honored itself by president. The dare devil motor cycle riding by the units of armed forced led to the traditional ends to the parade.

Flypast by the Indian Air Force Jets and helicopters carrying Indian National Flags and the flags of the three services.

Various school children participates in the parade by dancing and singing patriotic songs and many national and local cultural programs focusing on the history and culture of India are going to be take place on this auspicious occasion.

All the Indian states present their glimpse of their culture.Every part of country is represented in the parade, the tradition and lifestyle of India is presented through various Jhanki’s and dress up’s by entertainers present their state.

This festival is among the three famous festival of India everyone united on this patriotic day and hear patriotic songs.

The festivity of Republic Day concludes officially with the intriguing Beating Retreat ceremony on the evening of 29th January. This enthralling ceremony is performed by the military, the Indian Air Force, India Navy and India Army in the Raisina Hills, New Delhi, in front of the President of India as the Chief Guest.

We hope, like other years, this year also, we all Indians will celebrate this Republic Day with great happiness and exciteness.
