Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Is Not A Part Of Mani Ratnam’s Next Project

This time the Bollywood actress and former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and director Mani Ratnam are not going to make a team. She is not a part of the upcoming project of Ratnam.

The filmmaker is working on an untitled Tamil film whose star cast has Karthi and Dulquer Salmaan as the leading actors as per the reports.

A source told the following to IANS.

“Mani sir is yet to finalise heroines for his next project. Contrary to the rumours, Aishwarya Rai will not be a part of the film.”

Mani Ratnam is going to start shooting for his next venture in the month of December this year only. Ratnam’s next happens to be a multilingual movie, which will be made in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and may be Malyalyam too simultaneously. It’s star cast will include Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu and Shruti Haasan as the leading actors.

The source also added the following.

“The film was supposed to start from September. But since Dulquer is shooting for a Malayalam film with director Rajeev Ravi, the team will have to wait for him to complete it.”

Earlier in May this year, Aishwarya admitted that she previously accepted the project last year, but that didn’t work out due to some technical issues.

The association of Aishwarya and Mani has produced several successful films like Iruvar (1997), Guru (2007) and Raavan (2010).

The reason for not being a part of Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film is that the actress is currently busy to make her strong comeback with her next film Jazbaa.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had taken off from the film industry because of the birth of her daughter Aaradhya. She will be seen soon in Jazbaa, then in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which will be followed by Sujoy Ghosh’s next venture.
