Baahubali beats Enthiran; Enters Rs 300 Crore Club In Just 9 Days


The latest directorial venture of SS Rajamouli, Baahubali has broken all the previous records and created new milestones. As per the reports, it has now become the very first South Indian film to cross the border of Rs. 300 crore in just 9 days.

It shattered the previous record of 290 crore as the box office collection earned by Enthiran starring Rajinikanth.

The trade analyst, Trinath told IANS that by Saturday it collected more than Rs 303 crore worldwide. Despite the release of Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, its collection has remained unaffected.

Taran Adarsh, one of the popular trade experts also unveiled the business of its Hindi version. On Twitter, he stated that Baahubali’s Hindi version has collected over 50 crores as the box office collection till now.

The rights for the Hindi version of the film were sold to Dharma Productions of popular producer Karan Johar. It is a multilingual film, which is made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

The budget for the film was around Rs 250 crores. Baahubali succeeded unprecedentedly in garnering huge collections at the box office. It collected over Rs. 60 crore across the world as its opening day collection. Reaching to this level, it has become the highest opening grosser from India. Looking at overseas and comparing opening weekend collections, it became the biggest hit by surpassing the records of Bollywood blockbuster films like Happy New Year, and PK.



Baahubali is a mythological story drama inspired from Mahabharata. Its star cast has Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ansuhka Shetty, and Tamannaah Bhatia among others. The second part of the film will release in 2016.
