Happy With Fact That More Women-Oriented Movies Are Coming: Ayushmann


Ayushmann Khurrana, the bollywood star praised the beautiful actress Richa Chadha for excellent performance in the movie ‘Masaan’. He also expressed his happiness over the fact that more movies that are women-oriented are being made these days.

“I watched the film ‘Masaan’ and was zapped by Richa Chadha’s performance, she is brilliant in the movie. She did great work in Gangs of Wassyepur. I am very glad that we have women-oriented movies which are coming more in number these days.”

Ayushmann exclaimed ahead of an event which was organized by a TV media house.

Ayushmann reviewed the movie and said ‘Masaan’ is a movie on women’s emancipation & highlights the issue of gender parity and curse of casteism.

He also related ‘Masaan’ and ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ and said that they belongs to small town story, away from urban setup, carries purity of language and innocent milieu of rural background.

He described these type of movies as worth watching and they receive laurels, accolades globally.

He personally wants to do films like these.

On being asked about live-in relationship of Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu, he said that he advocates such relationships and finds no fault in it.

Kunaal and Soha officially had said,

“We don’t endorse live-in relationship for people, but it has worked wonderfully well for both of us before we get married to each other.”

Ayushmann is currently working in his new film, which is titled as ‘Agra ka Dabra’ in which he will be playing the role of Sanjay Bajaj.

This year, two movies of Ayushmann have been released which are, “Hawaizaada’ and ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ and both the movies got positive reviews from the critics as well as audience.

He also released his book, “Cracking the Code”, which is his autobiography and is a cheat sheet for anyone with a dream. The book was released in early part of this year.
