Jammu: Bollywood star Salman Khan has rejected the offer of Jammu & Kashmir government to promote their tourism offers. The leaders of the ruling PDP on J&K met Salman with their offer, but he did not consent. He said that he couldn’t accept any offers till 6th May 2015 due to the schedule of Baijaro Mastani.
Reason To Refuse The Offer
According to sources, Salman is awaiting for the verdict of a hit-and-run case on 6th May. If the Mumbai High Court acquitted him, then Salman could be willing to promote the tourism offer of J&K. Salman spokesman said, “It is not the right time to promote any offer 0f money, etc. That’s why we are waiting for a bit for result.”
Why the Government wants to promote their tourism offer via Salman Khan
After last year’s flood in the valley, the state is facing a sudden dwindling number of tourists. That is why Mufti Mohammad Saeed government is concerned to promote their new tourism offers. They have chosen Salman to be the best to publicize their area’s destinations.
Salman’s Currently Filming His Movie
These days, Salman is filming his upcoming movie Banjrangi Bhaijaan in Pahalgam, Kashmir. From now till the next month, he will be shooting the film with co-star Kareena Kapoor in different locations in the valley. The film will be released this year on the occasion of Eid.
He Continued Shooting, Did Not Go To The Court
The 16-years-old deer poaching case is not letting Salman live his life happily. Salman had to appear in the Jodhpur Court on Thursday, 23th April. But lawyer has said that his ear has an infection and he is suffering from immense pain. So cannot appear in court. Chief Judicial Magistrate (District) Anupama Bijlani has directed the attorney that he should appear in the court on 29th April, 2015. On the other side, Salman is currently busy shooting his film in Anantnag in Jammu-and-Kashmir.
