Smriti Irani & Fab India Case: On Friday, Union Minister visited a FabIndia Store at Candolim, Goa where she found a CCTV camera particularly focused on the trial room. She called out police and after some inspection they found that the video of that camera is displayed on the computer of the manager of the store. After all this, FabIndia came out with a statement denying that it had placed hidden camera in any of its store or outlet.
After the complaint lodged by the Minister, police had arrested four employees of the outlet and were charged with voyeurism. But the local court granted bail to all of them stating that the police was unable to made ground of their custodial interrogation.
FabIndia officials said that they highly value the dignity of women with a statement “FabIndia is a women centric organisation and seventy (70) percent of its employees are women across the sub continent and globe.”
Along with this case of Smriti Irani with FabIndia, another employee of FabIndia was caught for the same reasons. He was working at the store located in Kohlapur in Maharashtra and he is accused of filming a woman customer with his mobile phone.
Prakash Ananda Ispurle, the worker was arrested on 1st April on the basis of the complaint lodged by the woman and then he was sent to the judicial custody. According to the complaint lodged by the lady, he had placed his mobile phone on recording mode in the gap between the door and the floor of the trial room when she was trying for clothes inside the trial room.
When she shouted for help, he instantaneously pulled out his mobile and deleted the recordings and went to a corner of the store but police caught his in CCTV footage and arrested him the next day.

She is an Indian Politician and a former model, television actress and a producer. She belongs to a family with a background of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh). Her grand father was an RSS Swayamsewak and her mother was an active member of Jana Sangh. She basically belongs to Delhi and she had completed her schooling in Delhi only.
She had provided conflicting affidavits of her educational qualifications. She had submitted a degree in Arts (B. A.) from correspondence completed in 1996 from Delhi University but in 2014 she submitted that she had completed her graduation degree in 1994 from Delhi University in Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm.). Before starting her acting career, she had worked as a waitress at Mc Donald’s also.
She gained stardum with her role of Tulsi Virani in Ekta Kapoor’s family drama Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi which aired on Star Plus for which she had won best lead actress. She had also played mythological character of Sita in Zee Tv’s Ramayan.
In 2003, she joined Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and was made vice-president of Maharashtra Youth Wing in 2004. In 2004, she faught general elections for 14th Lok Sabha against Kapil Sibal from Chandni Chowk constituency in Delhi but failed. in 2010, she was appointed as National Secretary of BJP and later she was made All India President of BJP’s women’s wing, Mahila Morcha. After the formation of Central Government of BJP n August 2011, she was sworn in as a MP (Member of Parliament) from Gujarat to Rajya Sabha.
On 26th May 2014, Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi appointed her as Minister of HRD (Human Resource Development) in his cabinet at the age of 38 only, which made a record of the youngest cabinet member or minister.
