Sonam Kapoor started filming ‘Neerja Bhanot’


Mumbai: The stylish queen of Bollywood – Sonam Kapoor has started filming her upcoming biopic movie based on the story of a real-life legend Neerja Bhanot. She begun the filming schedule onwards 19th April, 2015.

Atul Kasbekar is debuting in Hindi Cinema as a director with this biopic. Sonam is excited to work under an ace photographer’s direction. She said on Twitter that she feel very honored to be a part of such a great project.

The lead actress of the movie took to Twitter:-

“Day 1 of #NeerajBhanot thank you @foxstarhindi and @BlingLive for making this possible… Let the journey begin! #nerves #excitement #humbled,” the 29-year-old actress tweeted.

At the one hand, the actress thanked producers, director and distributors to give her an opportunity to work in a biopic film for the first time. At the other hand, the director asked his followers to wish him good luck ahead. Doubtlessly, praises and wishes are needed to make such a big project become reality.

The movie portrays the real-life story of an India female flight attendant who was a passenger of Flight 73 when it was hijacked by Pakistanis in 1986. She was by shot terrorists while saving passengers’ lives. It was a Pan Am airline flew from Mumbai International Airport to Pakistan which was hijacked.

She is the most youngest member yet who has been awarded with Ashok Chakra, the highest civilian award for bravery. She was just 22 years old when shot in Pakistan by hijackers. Some of the hijackers are still in the most wanted list of U.S. Military to bring justice. They have been running a $5 Million bounty on their heads. While some of them were encountered  or captured by police and are in prison.

It would be a wonderful time experiencing the life-story of a big legend like Neerja.
