The much-hyped smartphone has finally been released in India – Xiaomi Mi 4i is launched in New Delhi on Thursday. It costs Rs 12,999, its sales will begin from 30th April. The exclusive retailer has started its registrations. Xiaomi is selling its devices in India through Flipkart, but now the new me flagship smartphone will be available on both my website and other e-commerce sellers too.
At the launch event, the company CEO Lei Jun was present and he had given much weigh on its display. He talked a lot about Mi 4i display, the longest part on which he had talked. The smartphone has a 5 inch HD (not Full HD) resolution display with a decent PPI of 441 pixels per inch.
The company also admitted that it has more color, color saturation than Apple iPhone 6. This one is a fully laminated OGS. Its display also contains some other cool features like Sunlight Display, to do automatic tone mapping if you are using it under a bright sunlight.
Xiaomi Mi 4i has given its identity by the performance it gives to the respective users. It has a Snapdragon 64-bit 615 processor, which clocks at 1.7 GHz (it can be overclocked easily to 2.3 GHz). It is powered by 4 cores. It has an inbuilt storage capacity of 16 Giga Bytes and memory of 2 GB.
The quality of smartphone is increased by its 13 MP high-end rear camera (including a Dual-LED flash) with f/2.0 aperture. The camera also records Full HD videos at a pretty convincing quality and FPS. Additionally, an HDR feature has been added to improve its overall photography experience
On the front end, it gives users a 5 MP front camera, especially those who selfie addict. You can tone up the image with its splendid inbuilt features like wrinkle remover, skin smoothening, Doodle and some good graphics.
It comes only in a dual SIM variant which sports Android Lollipop – customized by MI UI 6 user interface. With this device, you can achieve endless possibilities by talking to the device in your own preferred language from the ones which are mostly spoken in India such as Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and English.
If you use more external techs such as headphones, VR, sports accessories, etc. You get some most up-to-date features such as Bluetooth 4.1, WI-Fi 802.11 a/c, GPS/Glonass, WI-Fi Direct and USB OT. It is powered by a 3120 mAh battery. The outer-case and back cover is built with very high quality substance.
The company also revealed their much awaited gadget at the end of the event. It was Mi Band, which is available at Rs 999 in India.
