Today, I’m sharing the list of Navratri Colours 2014: 9 Days to Wear Different Colors. There are total 9 days in this occasion and that’s why it is called Nav-9 Ratri-Nights.

This year Navratri is going to start on September 25 and will mark an end at October 4. In India, there are two Navratris celebrated, first one starts in April & March.

September 25, 2014 – Yellow colour – Navratri Pratipada – Shailputri Puja
September 26, 2014 – Green colour – Navratri Dwitiya – Brahmacharini Puja
September 27, 2014 – Grey colour – Navratri Tritiya – Chandraghanta Puja
September 28, 2014 – Orange colour – Navratri Chaturthi – Kushmanda Puja
September 29, 2014 – White colour – Navratri Panchami – Skandamata Puja
September 30, 2014 – Red colour – Navratri Shashti – Katyayani Puja
October 1, 2014 – Blue colour – Navratri Saptami – Kalratri Puja
October 2, 2014 – Pink colour – Navratri Ashtami – Mahagauri Puja

Kalasha Sthapana Vidhi
Nine-day Navratri – Durga Navratri 2014 9 Colours
1st Day: On this beginning day of Navratri, the very first Goddess is embellished with a Grey Saree. On this day, people set up a Kalasha which is known as Ghatasthapana. The recognition of setting up a Kalasha is very high in India families, the day is also known as Prathami Puja. It will fall on 25th September. Yellow will be the best color to wear on this day.
2nd Day: You should dress up the second day Goddess with Orange Saree. And this day is known as Pretthi Dwitiya. It’ll fall on 26th September 2014 during the Navratri Period. You should wear Green Color, as per on the spiritual basis.
3rd Day: On the next day, White Color Saree is the best choice to dress up the Goddess. This day remakaks as Sthana Vriddhi auri Vrata. It will falls on 27th September 2014 and Grey is the best color to wear.
4th Day: The choice of all Indians, the red color is meant to be the best color in every aspects. So, the next Goddess should be dressed up in a beautiful Red Saree. It’s known as Bhouma Chaturthi and going to fall on 28th September 2014. Orange is best color given by Saints on this day.
5th Day: In the best looking color, the next Goddess should be embellished with a Blue Saree. It names as Upang Lalitha Gauri Vrata or Ashwin Shudda Panchami. This day is going to fall on 29th September 2014. The color of peace, I mean White, is the best practice to wear on this day.
6th Day: On this day, our Goddess will be decorated with a Yellow Saree. This day titled as Maha Sashti. This day will see you on 30 September. The eye catching color and most beautiful one out there is Red. You should wore this color on this day to get blessings of Goddess.
7th Day: Next Day, the saree color of the Goddess should be Green. This day is generally popular as Maha Saptami. This day has many beliefs of people. This is going to come on 1st October 2014 and Blue is the right color to wear beautiful dresses this day.
8th Day: Goddess on this day will be donned in a good looking Peacock Green Saree. This day is also commemorated with the name of Durga Astami (Maha Astami) or Ashwin Shudda Astami. We’re going to celebrate this day in our homes on 2nd October which is Mahatami Gandhi Jayanti. The color of this day would not choice of many peoples but you should wear it. It is the Pink Color which looks breathtaking in Sarees, so try to wear a Saree this day.
9th Day: This day Goddess Saree’s color is Purple and you’re too going to wear Purple this day. This day is celebrated in India with a name of Maharnavami Puja (Maha Navmi) or Suhasini Puja. It’s on 3rd October 2014. This day will mark the end of second Navrati this year.
