‘Baahubali’ Collected Rs. 60 Crores At Box Office On Opening Day

The great work done in the creation of ‘Baahubali‘ is paying high returns to the director S.S. Rajamouli. It is the first part out of two part war drama film. The film collected over Rs. 60 crores on its opening day at the box office, worldwide.

“It’s the best start that a film can get. As per the early estimates, it has collected about Rs. 60 cr on its first day at business. This trend will lead it into the Rs. 100 crore club in the 1st weekend itself,” trade analyst Trinath said.

The film’s storyline is about the war, which takes place between two brothers to conquer the whole of the ancient kingdom. It stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, Nasser and Ramya Krishnan in the lead roles.

Talking about US box office only, the film grossed over Rs. 15 crores on Friday. Thus, it broke the record created by PK movie.

Arka Media Works has produced the movie. It got the magnificent number of screens (over 4000) in different languages – Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.

Baahubali First Day Box Office Collection

As per the trade analyst Trinath, the Telugu version of the film did the best business. On the other hand, Tamil and Hindi versions were able to fetch some decent amount of money. However, in Kerala, it was released on about 50 screens. So, it couldn’t well there.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh Tweetwed,” #Baahubali creates HISTORY. Records HIGHEST EVER Day 1 biz in *all versions*: ₹ 50 cr. India biz. PHENOMENAL. UNPRECEDENTED.”

The trade analyst, Taran also revealed the box office collections made by the Hindi version of Baahubali. He said that, it collected Rs. 5.15 cr in India on Friday as the first day business.

The promotions of the film created so much buzz and hype that its advance booking / tickets were sold out in nearly all the metropolitan areas. It is also alleged that a single theatre ticket was sold for Rs. 10,000 in black.

The movie costed about Rs. 250 crores. This epic war drama is inspired from Mahabharata. The first part released on July 10, 2015. The second part is slated to release in 2016.
