New Delhi: Sunny Leone’s latest thriller movie ‘Ek Paheli Leela‘ had a fabulous first day business domestically. The occupancy in morning shows was a bit less, but it picked momentum in afternoon, evening and night shows.

The critics have not expected this much business on the first day, but however, Sunny Leone fans could not resist watching it. The movie collected a decent amount of 5.30 Crores on Friday, and left big daddies behind.

On the very first day, it covered 1/3 amount of its budget which was just 15 Crores. The total budget includes 9 Crores in production and 6 Crores in promotions.

After looking at the 1st Day Collection, we can doubtlessly say that it will recover the budget, plus some profit also.

It is expected that by the end of the weekend, the movie would have collected 13-14 Crores rupees. The first day most of the time starts slow because it is a working day, but collection figures increase as per of Saturday and more on Sunday, which usually are holidays. And people love to enjoy on weekends with friends.

With a whooping start of Rs 5.30 Crores, this Sunny film has left many big daddy films behind. Such as Anushka Sharma’s NH10 which did 3.35 Cr business on the first day, Amitabh Bachchan’s “Shamitabh” collected 3.50 Crores. This erotic thriller left behind the film based on the most loved fictional character in India – Detective Byomkesh Bakshi which earned 4.20 Crore.

Notwithstanding, the movie received bad comments by critics Taran Adarsh, Komal Nahta, Rajeev Masand etc. It averages about 3 stars by both public and critics’ reviews. The main attraction for the audience is Sunny Leone, who returns after a long break. The way Sunny represented in songs and posters, have drawn people to theaters. It is nothing but a wrongly promoted flick.
