Every bit of moment and glimpse had been grand, but perhaps only one reason of disappointment – the hosts: Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, the gunday friends.
Deepika Padukone’s beau Ranveer Singh expressed love to her yesterday night in front of mob of thousands.
Ranveer used flowers on knees, quoted few poems and called her ‘Queen Of Hearts’, the beauty increased by leaps and bounds when Deepika Padukone replied back in her style. Finally the most awaited celebrity award function, 16th IIFA, ceased. The nights were fabulous, thrilling performances and the beauty of the 3-day-show is inexpressible.
Despite the presence of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan or Shahid Kapoor; the officials chosen Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor as the hosts of the event. The drama on the reel and real should have been figured earlier, because they were the note of a huge disappointment.
What unexpected and not so cracking jokes they had delivered:- They lashed out at Roy (featuring Arjun and Jacqueline) for being shot in Malaysia, and everyone came to apologize for the picture. They further added to the joke by telling that the film’s title suited it much better if it was Destroy. In the line of jokes, from Bombay Velvet, Shahid Kapoor to Emraan Hashmi; the hosts covered everyone in their silly comedy punches. The destroyed the half an hour show time given to them to entertain the audience.
Sonakshi Sinha, the Dubsmash girl
When the Dubsmash, a video recording platform where user chooses a famous quote and dub it, peaked, the trendy girl Sonakshi Sinha approached it many-many times. Each day a latest dubsmash, while others featuring stars like Salman Khan.
She did not perform on the stage, but crooned with other stars and sung bunch of songs together with them.
Someone who had everyone’s eyes on, it was Deepika Padukone who attended the event after commemorating dad’s, Prakash Padukone, birthday in Banglore, India and the whole crowd cheered her. She had the honor presented with ‘Woman Of The Year’ award for taking initiatives for sister women in India. In her acceptance speech, she said, “I am someone show knows how to balance my personal and professional life. Piku has been a wonderful experience, the way people reacted to the film and the fact that it is still running in the theaters. The love and teh appreciation that the film got is overwhelming. With every film that you do, you give a little bit of yourself and you idnetiy with the character, I am also a daughter at the end fo the day. Piku is a film all of us connected with at the emotional level.”
People’s expectations and the jury decision met the exact point when Haider, PK and Queen came out as the winners of the night show. Audience applauded Best Actor Award for Shahid Kapoor (Haider) and the same for female Best Actress Award for Kangana Ranaut (Queen).
