Poland is one of those countries whose citizens will now be able to travel India with an e-Visa. The process for getting is much smoother than the previous one.

Ambassador of India to Poland, Mr. Ajay Bisaria said, “We are delighted that the e-Tourist visa scheme has been extended to Poland. Our people have strong and sustained cultural connections; our Polish friends love India’s cultural offerings, it’s cuisine, yoga, Ayurveda, and the incredible tourist destinations they can reach in a few hours of travel. Our economic links are burgeoning, Polish business is reaching out to the states of India. Last year, 25000 Polish nationals visited India. This visa scheme, along with the likely direct flight between India and Poland next year, could multiply these numbers.”

The e-Tourist visa service was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 27 last year. Till date, this scheme has been availed 2 million times.

Now, India is expanding this service to a total of 113 nations by designating 16 airports across the country. They will provide tourists the e-Tourist visa service from 15th August 2015.

According to the official statement of the Government, the significant increase in the number of countries for the e-Visa service will result in a boom in the India’s tourism industry.
