Indian Youth Congress Observed Its 55th Foundation Day

The Indian Youth Congress observed its 55th Foundation Day on 9th August in Jaipur. While celebrating the day, the regional head of the party, Ashok Chandana said that IYC is one of the biggest group in the world and many leaders of youth congress have played crucial role in India’s politics.

Ashok gave many examples of the likes of Ambika Soni, Gulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma etc., who started their political career from this party only. Continuing, he said that region’s in-charge Gurdas Kamat hasn’t only played an important role in the activities of this group, but he has also chaired it. Youth Congress has always resisted the anti-people policies of the opposition.

Chandana made a direct verbal attack on PM Narendra Modi for being silent on the Lalitgate issue which involves Vasundhara Raje and Sushma Swaraj. He urged the prime minister to take actions against them.

“We will continue our agitation against External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and the chief ministers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh till they resign,” Amrish Ranjan Pandey told IANS.

Before this speech, the flag was hoisted and elected officials took the oath on this occasion. Manish Thakur, the national general secretary of YC was welcomed to the celebrations. He has been on the visit of Rajasthan.

The programme included many dignitaries like media in-charge Sadika Chauhan, social media chairperson Rajesh Gurjar, area’s secretary Sushil Parik, Hasan Khan, Dheeraj Meena, Iyna Mahak, Jayanti Visroi, Amardeen Fakir, region secretary Nemi Gurjar, Rahul Tanwar, and Vanita Rathod. There were other local YC leader and workers present in the one-day meet.
