Irfan Pathan to Give His Earnings from ‘Jhalak’ to Cricket Foundation

Indian fast bowler, Irfan Pathan will be seen as the first wild-card entry on the dance show “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Reloaded”. Being quite excited about it, he said that whatever he would be earning from the celebrity based dance show, it will be used in his cricket academy.

Irfan and his brother Yusuf have a joint foundation known as “Cricket Academy of Pathans” which is a self-funded project for the underprivileged children.

Talking in media release, Irfan told that “Cricket Academy of Pathans” is their dream which was launched back in 2014.

The sole aim of the project is to help under-privileged children, coach them, provide them better equipment and other necessary things. So, whatever funding he will collect from the show, he is going to put into his project.

Irfan Pathan, a left arm swing bowler is a self-confessed non-dancer and the challenge of grooving on national platform made him sign for “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Reloaded”.

Irfan said that this is off season of cricket so, he thought to take up this new challenge and he would be able to learn a few moves as well.

Irfan stated that he enjoys the song more if it has the presence of fun element in it.

He has started the rehearsals and facing a tough time. He said that it’s easy to hit fours and sixes.

“You can’t compare two things. If I compare the experience then it is to remember the step is difficult, I forget it, as you have to synchronize the steps with music, then you forget things… it is a challenge. I wish to do my best.” He said.

Talking about the judges, Irfan said that both judges are encouraging. Karan is funny where as Shahid is cool.

The other participants in this season are: actress Shamita Shetty, actor Ashish Chowdhry, child actor Faisal Khan, TV stars Sananya Irani, Vivian Dsena, Kavita Kaushik, Mohit Malik, Deepkia Samson, Radhika Manon, Subhreet Kaur, rapper Raftaar and Scarlett Wilson.

We wish Irfan a big good luck for his new passion which is being done for a noble cause.
