‘Madhubala’ Girl, Drashti Dhami is Back With ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’

Drashti Dhami, a very popular TV actress, who got married to businessman Neeraj Khemka earlier this year exclaimed that, she is in the happiest phase of her life.

The actress, who was on a break from her work is making a comeback with her show “Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani”, which will be featured on Zee TV.

The 30 year old diva said, “This is a really happy phase of my life. I love spending time with my husband and with my in-laws. They are very supportive about my career decisions and also watch my shows whenever gets time”.

Drashti was seen as the host of a dance reality show in 2014.
Talking about the show, EK Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, it revolves around a girl Gayatri Seth (Drashti Dhami) who is a simple girl, gets married to Rana Indravadhan Singh Deo (Siddhant Karnick), a prince from Royal Family of Ameerkot. Gayatri’s whole life changes when she gets married and inducted into the Royal family despite not having a good background.

The first episode of the show was released on Monday, July 27th. It would be unfair to judge the daily soap based on its first episode but it gave a fair idea that how the show is going to proceed in the coming days.

The story of the show revolves around the period of 1945, i.e., before Indian Independence.

Rana Indravadhan marries Gayatri for her political benefits, but soon starts to fall in love with her.

Drashti Dhami impressed the audience with her performance in the first episode. Drashti who had previously worked in the Colors show ‘Madhubala’. Her work was highly appreciated by the critics as well as the audience.

Talking about her break, Drashti said, “I feel it is very crucial to take it easy for a while. Playing the same role makes an actor tiring. So, taking an off is always refreshing”.
