Radhika Apte is All Set to Become Rajinikanth’s Heroine in Upcoming Film

Radhika Apte, who was an unknown face in the B-Town until her latest few movies succeeded and she achieved one of the top spots in the list of top Bollywood actresses in a very short span of time.

With so many good projects under her name, now Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Ahalya‘ lead star Radhika is going to star opposite to the superstar, Rajinikanth.

The ‘Badlapur‘ movie star officially revealed that she is going to work with mega star Rajinikanth.

“It will take some time to sink in. I do not think that here is anybody bigger than Rajini sir. And the director, Pa Ranjith is exceptionally good. So, I was extremely thrilled that it has worked out and I am super excited to finally meet Rajinikanth sir” Radhika said.

Radhika has become the fourth actress of the Bollywood industry who will be paired opposite to Rajinikanth.

Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, and Sonakshi Sinha are the first three lucky ladies.

“I think it’s a very rare opportunity. There is a huge amount of competition for something like this. So, I feel very fortunate”. She added.

Radhika Apte was last seen in the short film ‘Ahalya‘ which was directed by Sujoy Ghosh and it went viral online. The short movie was highly appreciated by both critics as well as viewers.

Talking about the venture in which she will work with Rajinikanth, she explained that the concept is very different and she holds a very strong, meaty and a performance oriented role in the film.

Moreover, Radhika has also been featured in a movie titled as “Maanjhi – The Mountain Man” which has been directed by Ketan Mehta and is starring opposite to Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

The movie covers the real life story of ‘Dashrath Manjhi’ who is a real life mountain man. The movie will release on August 21st, 2015. The movie has been declared as entertainment tax free in Bihar.
