The mega star Anil Kapoor who will be next seen in his upcoming movie ‘Welcome Back’ shared his thoughts on writers and their role in an event that held in Mumbai.
The first ever Mumbai Mantra – Cinerise Screenwriting Programme was announced and inaugurated in Mumbai.
“Writer is everything, without writer there is nothing”, said Anil Kapoor in the event.
Big names from the Bollywood industry like Anil Kapoor, Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, Nandita Das, Sudhir Mishra, Gul Panag, Hansal Mehta, Siddhartha Basu, Sanjay Suri, Jaaved Jaffery, Shruti Seth Aslam, Neeraj Ghaywan, Varun Grower were the lightning faces in the maiden event.
“The reason why I have arrived here because I have lookout for writers that I can use in my movies and television shows. I require their support and talent, it is very important for me. Whether it is a movie, theater or television, they are nothing without “Writers”. I think with Mumbai Mantra hosting such kind of events, it’s very good for our industry,” said Anil Kapoor.
Anil has been a multi-talented actor from the initial days and has proved it various times over the years. He got major success not only on silver screens but as far as television shows are concerned, his show, ’24’ was a big hit and it is a good example of content driven program.
“The reason why I worked in ’24’, the TV show was that it has a strong script and for me, it’s all about writing,” he added.
Apart from his TV show, Anil is currently busy in his upcoming movie ‘Welcome Back’, which is a sequel to the super hit movie ‘Welcome’ which was released back in 2007.
The lead stars in the sequel part are John Abraham, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shruti Hassan.
The movie is scheduled to be released on 4th September 2015.
